Scottish Parliment Consultation rejects cycling road tax, phew...

So the Scots Parliament floats the idea of a cycling road tax, and it's rejected, or only voted for by 2% (presumably car Nazi climate deniers) during consultation. I expect the idea was proposed by the car industry, lobbying to save their bacon, or trying to appease the popular, but fictitious idea that cycling is more popular that driving. Which it isn't, despite the volume of media hoo-ha...

The car industry has brought pressure on itself, and all of us who buy into the car dream have helped. Having ignored the signs for years, it's now completely out of step. Looking to punish cyclists who represent what motorists really yearn for - freedom. Freedom, read it F-R-E-E-D-O-M. I don't have to describe the boredom of motoring, I own a car, I partake in the ritual boredom of it.

Please stop thinking of cyclists as the enemy, the enemy are all those who wish to maintain the carbon quo.
